Rémy Restaurant Award 2006
We were thrilled to be awarded a Rémy Restaurant Award in 2006. Rémy Martin launched the Restaurant Rémy awards in 2003 with Harden’s UK Restaurant Guide to recognise the emerging talent of the UK restaurant scene– for “restaurants that were receiving consistently excellent reviews from British diners and setting new exacting standards for the whole industry”.
This award was particularly exciting as it was won through the reviews sent to Harden’s by ordinary people who love dining out and understand what it takes to make that experience a real pleasure.
This award we attribute to the real star of our kitchen – our local produce. In this business, relationships are crucial and we are privileged to work closely with some very passionate and dedicated local people whose produce is of the highest quality. The result is a freshness and taste explosion on our customers’ plates. The local game, organic poultry, beef, lamb and mutton; fresh seafood; fruit and vegetables; organic flour for pizza dough and bread; cheese; ice-cream; ale; and local wine all contribute to the overall experience we are able to provide here for our customers. Cotswold Life Food and Drink Award 2006
The Priory Inn received a second prestigious industry award in 2006 nominated by the restaurant-going public. We received the “Most Distinctive Local Menu” from The Cotswold Life Food and Drink Awards.
The awards were set up to honour the best suppliers, sellers and producers of the finest local food and drink the Cotswolds and Gloucestershire has to offer. It is again a tribute to our talented local producers – without which our menus and the food experience that we can offer would be very different.
Taste of The West Dining Pub Silver Award 2006
Our third industry award in 2006 was a Silver Award given by The Taste of The West Food and Drink Awards.
In their thirteenth year, they recognise the finest dining and hospitality establishments in the South West of England. The awards are highly respected throughout the industry and in anonymous reviews, the expert judges evaluate the quality of meals, ambience, evidence of local sourcing and knowledge of staff. We attribute this award to the dedication of our team and the skill and passion of our local suppliers - both of which allow us to deliver a high quality product of which we are very proud.
