Seasonal Food February 2016
What is going on in the countryside surrounding Tetbury during February? Remaining true to our commitment to local Cotswolds produce means we allow seasonality to exert its natural influence and we look forward to the different varieties that each month brings. So what can you expect from
this February's produce? What are the key driving forces for our many local suppliers? And how does all of this affect what is happening in our hotel and restaurant in Tetbury
- The Priory Inn?
Stargazy Fish Bar and takeaway
Our takeaway venture serves high quality traditional fish and chips with homemade
extras. All our fish
is MSc certified from sustainable sources. We cook everything to order so no
food ever sits around waiting for you. Choose to have traditional battered fish
(with our homemade batter) or take the healthier grilled option with a Stargazy salad.
The fish bar is a relaxing place to eat in and watch the world go by, or enjoy
your fish al fresco in the herb garden. Of course many choose to take it
all away and enjoy their meal at home. We have Cotswold beer,
wine and softdrinks to have in or takeaway.
Since we do everything to order, why not call ahead so everything is ready for you when you arrive? Or, you can place your order and enjoy a pint or glass of wine from The Priory Inn. We will
let you know when your order is ready.
See our menu here.
Prefer to eat at home?
We can serve you battered or grilled fresh fish, frankfurters and chicken goujons cooked to order

main kitchen, you can order
gourmet burgers and
we have the very best takeaway
pizzas sourced from within 30 miles of Tetbury.
To complete the perfect evening in, we have local ale, lagers and ciders in takeaway
bottles. It is all ready to go during service periods - just call through your order and come
Allotment over-run with veggies? Herb garden overflowing? Even garden
flowers that are too plentiful for your use? Bring any excess to us and we will

Kitchen Herb Garden
A huge thank-you to the team for designing and
planting our culinary and aromatic herb garden.
Jekka and Team McVicar nurtured our plants in their Alveston herbetum and
Spring 2014 they were bedded in. Sunshine and rain now provide the perfect
ingredients for an ever-changing garden this year and beyond.
The Priory Inn "30 Mile Food Zone"
In November 2008, we launched our "30 Mile Food Zone" (as the crow flies) at The Priory Inn.
It grew out of a belief in the quality of food and drink on offer so close to us
here in Tetbury and a genuine desire to represent the suppliers, farmers,
growers and local artisans on our menus and behind the bar.
It has become bigger than we could have imagined!
